Production Log 3 (Editing)

Throughout this week in Media Studies, I and my group partner carried on the process of completing our editing of our production which is a thirty second advert. We carried on editing our advert as it is a long process, in this week we cut all the shots that were available so that it would fully fit into the 30 second time limit that we had. It couldn't go any over 30 and nothing less than 30. Logistical challenges that we faced were trying to find a song to be played throughout our advert, it took us a long period of time as we needed to find the perfect song that would fit our advert. This is because we needed a song which builds up a lot of attention then will fully stop at the point where the overweight person clicks his fingers and freezes time. The song we chose is the Chicago Bulls basketball teams theme song, this is because it fit our advert perfectly as it is very tensed and builds up the tension enough until the click occurs. Technically we had some issues of ensuring that the advert would come fully into 30 seconds as some shots were a bit too long, we overcame it by taking out all of the excess footage out that we didn't need. By the next production log we will have fully completed the editing process and will be ready to start our evaluation.
