Production Log 2 (Editing)

During this week of school, we came back to Media classes and started on the editing process of our post production. The progress which we made from my last entry was that we finished filming our production. As we started the new work we had to first upload all of our footage onto the iMacs. After we finished uploading the footage, we opened the program which we were going to use to edit the footage and make the advert which was called Final Cut Express. Below is an image of what the program looks like.

The editing process is always fun as we get to experiment with many different aspects which are available on the application. Logistically, some of the problems that we had were choosing which shots to use that we had already filmed, sometimes there was too much of the shot and sometimes there was too less of the shot, this was important as we always had to remember that the advert will have to be 30 seconds on the spot. Technically the only problems that we sort of had were having to delete some shots as some weren't related and were also too long. What we aim to achieve by the next entry will be to get a big majority of the ediing complete so that we can move on to the next stage.
